Challenging the Future
Human Creativity and AI in Uncertain Times
In a world shaped by rapid technological change and increasing uncertainty, creativity has become a critical capability for innovation. At the same time, artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing how we think, learn, and create.
But there is a paradox:
While AI promises efficiency, it often comes at the cost of human thinking—if we use it merely as an assistant.
This interactive workshop explores a different perspective:
What if AI is not a tool that thinks for us—but a tool that helps us think better?
Based on the CREA-M5 innovation methodology, participants will engage in a structured innovation journey from idea to implementation. The workshop combines cutting-edge AI tools with human creativity techniques inspired by Da Vinci (analytical, cross-domain thinking) and Dalí (intuitive, imaginative exploration).
A central concept of the workshop is AI as a “Tool for Thought” rather than a “Tool for Output.” Instead of replacing human thinking, AI is used to challenge assumptions, introduce alternative perspectives, and stimulate deeper reflection.
Working in small teams, participants will:
- Explore complex challenges in uncertain environments
- Use AI not to generate answers, but to expand their thinking
- Apply human creativity techniques to generate original ideas
- Translate insights into mission-driven innovation concepts
The workshop creates an experience where human creativity remains the driving force, while AI acts as a catalyst for deeper, more structured, and more critical thinking.
Participants will leave with:
- A practical understanding of the CREA-M5 framework
- New ways to use AI as a thinking partner, not a substitute
- A stronger awareness of how to maintain creativity and agency in the age of AI
Ultimately, the workshop addresses a fundamental question:
Do we want AI to think for us—or to help us think better?
Jürgen’s Bio
Dipl.-Math. Juergen Halt is a lecturer, mentor, and innovation advisor working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, creativity, and real-world transformation. He teaches Applied Artificial Intelligence and Innovation at the University of Applied Sciences Ansbach and is the founder of HALT CONSULTING – Research & Executive Advisory Council.
With more than 40 years of international experience, Juergen has worked with global organisations such as SAP, Hewlett Packard, Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and General Motors, while also supporting start-ups, research initiatives, and industry collaborations.
His current work focuses on applied AI, creativity-driven innovation, and technology transfer across academia, start-ups, and industry. He also serves as a mentor in research and entrepreneurship initiatives, including Fraunhofer Venture and the SPIN+X research network at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. In addition, he is the initiator, curator, and host of an interdisciplinary AI lecture series (“KI-Ringvorlesung”) at the University of Stuttgart, bringing together experts from academia and industry to explore real-world applications of artificial intelligence and foster cross-sector collaboration.
In his work, he combines engineering discipline, human creativity methods, and cutting-edge AI tools to help organisations develop new ideas and turn them into meaningful innovation. His teaching and workshops are based on the CREA-M5 innovation methodology, a structured framework that connects vision, knowledge, creativity, and implementation.
He is particularly interested in how human creativity and artificial intelligence can challenge thinking and co-create innovation in uncertain times.
