Pinky & the Brain – The Twilight Campaign
When the old no longer works and the new is not yet here, we find ourselves in a kind of twilight zone: the liminal space. It can feel uncomfortable and uncertain. And yet, we still need to move forward. You, as a facilitator or leader, might have the role to help a group go through this uncertainty.
In this playful and highly experiential session, we explore how to navigate this ‘in between’ space and create room for new ideas, different perspectives and meaningful action.
Our guides are Pinky & the Brain. Pinky represents imagination, curiosity, courage and playfulness. Brain represents common sense, focus, perseverance and structure. When navigating uncertainty and complexity, we need them both. Not as a balance, but as a continuous dance between two polarities.
In this session, we will explore four phases for navigating uncertain territory. Through playful exercises, reflection and practical tools, we explore what it takes to keep moving when the map is still being drawn.
After this workshop, participants will:
- Recognize the liminal space and understand four phases that can help them navigate uncertain territory.
- Understand and experience polarity thinking and discover how moving between Pinky and Brain, between imagination and common sense, playfulness and structure, can help them navigate complexity.
- Take away practical ways to create movement when certainty is gone by marking the threshold, opening up perspectives, staying with uncertainty and turning emerging possibilities into a meaningful next step.
Judith’s Bio
Judith de Jong is a facilitator, trainer and creative process designer from the Netherlands. She helps teams and organisations tackle complex challenges by opening up space for fresh perspectives, new ideas and meaningful action.
With over a decade of experience in facilitation and creative thinking, Judith designs and leads highly interactive workshops for organisations in the Netherlands and internationally. Her work combines creative thinking, group dynamics, facilitation and play, always with a strong focus on turning ideas and conversations into practical results.
Judith has a background in Food Technology and is trained in Advanced Creativity, Deep Democracy, Applied Game Design, Systemic Work and improvisational theatre. She has worked with organisations in government, business, education and international networks, facilitating groups around collaboration, creativity, change and innovation.
Her approach is playful and practical: she believes that looking at a challenge differently often creates exactly the space needed to move forward.
