
Courageous Leadership that Inspires Creativity in Those around You
The Courageous Leadership workshop is a highly interactive 90-minute session designed to support participants in motivating and empowering the individuals and teams they serve as managers, consultants, coaches, and HR professionals. Inspired by the research of Brené Brown, PhD, Amy Edmondson, PhD, and other leading management scholars, the workshop leverages empirical insights to create practical tools that help leaders enhance self-awareness and develop essential skills that support creativity in those around them.
What’s in it for you?
The program begins with a focus on great leaders that the participants have experienced first hand in their own careers, and then proceeds to a series of learning activities and conversations to explore the very nature of courage, to discuss the role of vulnerability during times of uncertainty, to define core values that provide clarity when the world feels overwhelmed with complexity, to learn ways of fostering psychological safety and trust, and to practice the skills for managing effective dialogue / ideation in support of team creativity.
Key Learnings– Over the course of the session participants will:
- Reflect on great leaders they have known and identify high impact skills and behaviors.
- Gain insights into the critical importance to high impact leadership of developing the capacity to express vulnerability.
- Identify the core values that guide participants’ approach to leadership.
- Reflect on methods to enhance trust and psychological safety and establish a climate for creativity.
- Apply methods for engaging in high impact conversations to foster creativity.
Tony’s Bio
Tony is a Social-Organisational Psychologist, a Managing Partner of Global Insights Consulting (www.NBIAssessments.com), and a Master NBI Practitioner. Tony has more than 20 years of experience providing consulting, coaching, training, and facilitation services to leading companies in 30+ countries worldwide.
He specialises in team and leadership development with a focus on enhancing creativity and effectiveness in cross-functional teams. He earned his PhD from Columbia University and is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and white papers. He lives with his wife and two daughters on the Upper West Side of New York City and enjoys duathlon.
