Restore: Repair an Object, Repair Your Soul
When objects are damaged, the wabi-sabi aesthetic vision for repairing them is based on “the beauty of imperfection”. So, the restoration highlights the repair as part of the new object. In this workshop, we will learn and apply restoration techniques to a real damaged piece to reflect on the role of damaged places in our lives.
Three takeaways the audience will get from attending this session:
- Experience the beauty of imperfection as part of the creative process (and life itself)
- Reflect on the damaged aspects of your life in a safe and creative environment.
- Build an anchor about all these in a physical form to bring back home.
