Pencils and Profits: How Drawing Drives Success
What entrepreneurs know, but don’t know on a verbal, conscious level, comes pouring out in drawings. That sub-conscious thinking gives entrepreneurs an edge above their competition.
Session Outcomes:
- Combining Left and Right brain thinking in solving business problems
- What is the connection between learning to draw and “seeing” solutions to business problems
- Using the “language of line”, first draw out the problem and then make visible solutions to the problem.
- Use the five concepts of drawing:
- Edges – boundaries in business,
- Negative spaces – often called “white spaces” in business
- Relationships – parts of the problem viewed by proportionally and “in perspective.”
- Lights and shadows – extrapolation from the known to the as-yet-unknown
- Gestalt of the drawing/problem – how the part fit – or don’t fit – together
- Drawing business problems – rather than typing solutions that conform to the letters and structure of the keyboard and the limitations of words.
